I've transitioned the RUgetinvolved web platform, a hub for Rutgers University student engagement, into a streamlined, mobile-friendly application. RUgetinvolved allows students to explore and connect with various clubs, organizations, events, and other extracurricular opportunities offered at the university. Utilizing Figma, I've redesigned the original site to focus on simplifying navigation and enhancing the visual appeal to enrich the user experience for the student community.

After identifying primary frustrations with the original platform, I utilized a design thinking approach and framed these issues into open questions, kick-starting each with "How might I/we improve...".

A glimpse into the sketching and planning process - a fundamental step in the design workflow where the abstract concepts are turned into visible ideas, laying the groundwork for the ultimate creation of the RUgetinvolved mobile application.
Wireframing
Low-fidelity
This low-fidelity wireframe carefully adapts key features from the original website, but is reimagined for a mobile-friendly interface. This design prioritizes accessibility and student engagement.
High-fidelity
This advanced iteration moves beyond the basic structure of the low-fidelity wireframe, incorporating vibrant colors, typography, and graphics consistent with the Rutgers University brand.
